Alopecia areata
Alopecia areata is quite a common condition that
causes patchy and sometimes complete hair loss, usually from the scalp,
but can affect any part of the body. The condition can occur at any age
and is considered to be due to autoimmunity i.e. where the body's
immune system attacks and damages normal body tissues. In this case, it
attacks the hair follicles or bulbs beneath the skin and "turns
off" their abiltiy to grow.
About 50% of these
patients recover spontaneously within 6 to 12 months, but many can
suffer the condition for many years. There is reputedly no known cure,
but I have increasing numbers of patients recovering completely using
my wheatgrass extract. The patient and/or carer however, needs to
commit to daily application for at least 12 months. The case below
emphasises the importance of perseverance when using wheatgrass for
alopecia.
Recovery may be brought about in the same way that wheatgrass produces
rapid healing of injured body tissues such as skin, muscle and bone
following injury. Wheatgrass appears to contain hormone-like molecules
that stimulate growth factor activity. Growth factors are essential for
promoting cell division and proliferation and for immune stimulation.
This may well create an environment for re-activation of dormant hair
follicles and subsequent hair re-growth.

Case History
This
28 year old Japanese woman suffered from alopecia areata for 5 years
including a large, readily visible and embarrassing bald area at the
back of her head. She had tried a number of treatments without success.
She first attended my clinic on 14 August, 2002. After applying
wheatgrass cream every second or third day, she regained complete hair
re-growth within 4 months. On 4 February 2003, hair remains normal. I
have increasing numbers of patients recovering completely using this
treatment.
Alopecia areata - 6 year old boy
In this case, the little boy lost more than 50% of his hair when he was
two. He has subsequently fully recovered using the wheatgrass spray,
but it took 10 months. His grandmother never gave up, and it paid off.
I'll let her tell the story:
"Dr Wheatgrass, my name is C. W. I have a 6 year old grandson who lives
with me. He was diagnosed with alopecia when he was 2 years old. We
have taken him to several different doctors. They have given him shots,
vitamins, herbs. We have taken him out of town to specialists. We have
spent several hundred dollars, out of pocket, trying to find a cure.
All the doctors say the same thing, "There is no cure."
The kids in his school laughed at D and called him mean names. He likes
school, but he would come home crying. My girlfriend got on the
internet and found "Dr Wheatgrass" spray. She ordered some and gave it
to D. I had him use it every day - just once a day. His hair appeared
to be comming in so I bought 2 more bottles so not to run out. D now
has a full head of hair and I give "Dr Wheatgrass" all the credit. It
is an amazing product. I have told everyone about "Dr Wheatgrass" and
have shown these pictures to back up the facts.
Thank you so much for your product. I am in your debt.

Alopecia areata - 9 y.o boy
This young Australian boy lost most of his hair 5 years before
treatment commenced using wheatgrass extract. His parents had spent a
considerable amount on specialists fees and many different medications
that failed to work.
Although the boy's mother was skeptical, and at one stage was almost
ready to give up, when some small tufts of hair began to appear after
about 7 months daily application, she became much more enthusiastic.
Her patience clearly paid off.
The main lesson to learn from this and other cases of alopecia I have
managed to recover with wheatgrass, is to PERSEVERE. It may take a year
for hair recovery to occur, but it's worth the effort.
If confidentiality was not an issue, I'd love to show you a photograph of this little boy's smile with his new head of hair!
